Dick's Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) acquired privately-held, California-based Chick's Sporting Goods in November, 2007.  Dick's initiated a plan to rebrand and remerchandise the 14 Chick's stores.  Hilco Merchant Resources, a long time strategic partner and service provider to Dick's, was engaged to help dispose of all non-conforming inventory in the 14 Chick's locations.  A sale event, planned and conducted by HMR, successfully liquidated all inventory in the required time frame.  In addition, during the sale process, HMR took responsibility for managing the transition of each store's floorplan to accommodate Dick's new merchandise and expedite the move-in.  The transition was seamless.
